We are Hiring: Bike Technician - Full Time

Location: Run & Ride, 16 The Green, Milford, Stafford, ST17 0UR

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday – Saturday (5 days per week), working a Saturday with 1 day off Monday to Friday

About the Role


We are looking for an experienced Bike Technician to join our team. You will be working in a busy, professional workshop, handling mid to high-end bikes, and keeping up to date with the latest technologies, including:


  • Electronic shifting systems

  • E-bike diagnostics

  • Invisiframe installation

  • Suspension and fork servicing



What We’re Looking For


The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and highly motivated individual with a strong background in bike mechanics. You must have:


  • At least 3 years' experience working in a busy workshop with mid to high-end bikes (essential).

  • Knowledge of new cycling technologies and servicing techniques.

  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional manner.

  • A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Punctuality and a well-presented, clean appearance



Key Responsibilities


  • Diagnosing and repairing bikes efficiently and to a high standard

  • Providing on-the-spot repair quotes based on labour costs

  • Advising customers on repair options within their budget

  • Carrying out a range of servicing levels (we offer a three-tiered service structure)

  • Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge and using supplier websites effectively

  • Reporting workshop requirements, including tools, stock, and repair guidance, to the Line Manager

  • Ensuring the workshop is clean, organised, and professionally presented

  • Using POS systems for customer transactions

  • Handling boxed bikes, including unpacking, storage, and recycling packaging materials

  • Providing excellent customer service and resolving issues professionally and efficiently
